DESIGN PROCESS: Students explore an in depth analysis of successful games, and the platforms they run on. With the help of instructors and the class, students design their product, and draft a Game Treatment.

User Experience - Game Theory - Interactive Media Design Principles  - Immersive Experiences - Designing for Online

TARGET MARKETING: Complete target marketing program delivered by Joe Mebrathu. Students draft a marketing plan, and define their company branding.

Solving the problem - Refining the Target - Social Media Marketing - Avatars 

ATTRACTING INVESTORS: Students practice delivering sharp and effective business presentations. Students practice their pitch with visuals, and present their idea to investors.

Presentation Skills - Video Marketing - Raising Capital - Ad Media Design 

INDUSTRY INTELLIGENCE: Students research the current state of the mobile, VR, and online game economy. They analyze product sales statistics from various platforms and undertake weekly focused market research assignments for class discussion.

BUSINESS FINANCE: Students create and analyze income and expense spreadsheets. They create a business financial model and draft a business plan.

MONETIZATION: Students learn to design for monetization. They learn to interpret and analyze sales data, statistic terminology and the equations that go with it. Students choose and implement a monetization model for their product.

Ad Revenue - Subscriptions - In App Purchases - Free To Play - Distribution Platforms – Retention Big Spenders - Micro Payments - Licensing Contracts - Cryptocurrencies - Blockchain 

CODING: Students learn to code in the environment they’ll be using it, from basics to advanced. They will learn to navigate through code, and build minor prototypes. Students work on coding examples and program their own projects using Microsoft’s C#, and Game Makers’ GML scripting language.

Data Structures - Functions – Variables – Debugging/Compiling Artificial Intelligence - Fuzzy Logic - Finite State Machines – Networking 

GAME ENGINES: Students learn to build projects in Unity and Game Maker. They explore their features and capabilities, while assembling and modifying projects. Students build their own prototypes and test their ideas.

3d modelling - Texturing - Animation - Physics - Particle FX - Rendering - Shaders - UI Networking - Audio - Virtual Reality - Asset Stores 

PRODUCTION: Students gather game resources and contract out the work load. Students negotiate work contracts and manage the production of their game.

Development Loop - Testing, Feedback, Modifications - Making hard development decisions - Exporting to platforms - Writing job descriptions

LAUNCH: Mobile App, Desktop App, or VR Experience. Bite-sized, simple, elegant, engaging and clever. The final product and goal of the course. Students complete their main release project, be it a game, interactive media or immersive VR content. They prepare for the product launch. 

INWARD ALIGNMENT: Entrepreneur and life success skill building. Students gain personal augmented coaching and progress tracking.
